reason at the time for your resignation
from the Hong Kong Service, and this
is the first intimation received that
action

ground of illhealth. In any case
however, the leave of absence reform
se in your Certificate, which is
returned herewith, was granted on the
understanding that you would retum to
the Colony, It is not customary
to grant more than three months' leave
prior to retirement or resignation.
